The Chilean Miners. Absolutely Positively Incredible. Take a Minute and Think.

I just turned off the TV. I couldn't even believe my eyes. I read the story of these miners being trapped 2 months ago. I heard about them being found and how it could be January by the time they got out, if they ever did. Now here we are 69 days later, all 33 of them are safe. 22 million dollars poured into the safe return, and every single cent worth it. How can you not believe someone is watching over us, inspiring us after something like this. Every day I expected to see news of their death or of a setback. However every time the story updated it talked of progress. Incredible. It all culminated in this day. Never have I seen something so amazing. I believe in miracles. Everything seems so pedestrian now, everything we take for granted in life seems so unimportant. These men had the bare essentials and they survived. I am forever changed by this story. This redefines down to earth. (Pun intended). What is so amazing is that as these miners came out they took nothing for granted, they didn't run and guzzle a 62 oz. soda or eat a hamburger. They saw their families and their friends, the people they loved. They didn't need all those material things all they wanted was some love and to see the people closest to them. Most people would run for the nearest KFC or want something good to eat. Not these men. Many of them will go back in the mines and work for their families despite the incredible risk. God Bless Them.
